Daisy had her first bath when she was 14 weeks old, now she loves having a bath.

It is advisable to bring your puppy to me several times for a puppy groom before their first full groom. I can then get them use to the grooming process gradually, resulting in a calm and happy dog.
It is important for your puppy to experience grooming from a young age whether they have a quick brush out, bath, blow dry, nail clipping and a light trim to the rear end and eye area.
The process of your puppy meeting the groomer and having a positive and trusting experience makes any future trips to the groomer a pleasant one.
Your puppy must have had all their jabs and the all clear from the vets to go out and about before they can be booked in.(around 14 weeks)
By bringing your puppy in for a brush out, bath and blow dry will make brushing their coat at home easier.
Most puppys don't like being brushed to start with, but by persevering with the grooming of your puppy, it will get easier.By letting your puppy get it's own way now will mean later on you will have a fight on your hands when your cute little puppy turns in to a bigger,stronger and hairier adult.
Adult dogs that are groomed regularly as puppys enjoy being brushed and pampered, Their coats are in better condition,they are more comfortable and you will be proud to show them off when out for a walk.
When a dog is not brushed regulary their coat will matt up which looks unsightly,it is uncofortable for them,can cause skin problems and is unfair on them.
Try to get your puppy used to their feet and legs being touched, when they are in a relaxed state. ( when having a cuddle is an ideal time)
Begin with short sessions and gradually lengthen. Treats and praise can help as a reward.
